This view shows the sink centered under the window. I located the dishwasher to the
right of the sink. You may find this easier to use, since you are right handed. Most
people that are right handed, hold an item in the left hand and scrub with the right.
I moved the microwave to create better upper storage for dinnerware, glasses, etc.
I did not place a valance at the window so that you could see the kitchen
without a valance. The wall cabinets are hung at 90" plus stacked molding.
This view shows the range wall. I located the microwave near the range.
A stool area and place for the cat feeding is to the right. The counter
is supported by two table legs and it has a skirt drawer. I thought this
concept would give you more counter space without appearing to bulky.
I added drawers to the left of the range for cooking utensils.
This view shows the table nook under the window with the shallow base cabinets.

Revised Plan
The wall cabinets on this wall are 14" deep. To the left of the sink cabinet is a double
trash pull out. The tall cabinet will have tray dividers in the upper section.
The mullion doors will be prepared for your glass. If you choose a painted
finish, the interior of the mullion door cabinets will be painted to match.
This view shows the range wall with the peninsula cabinet. A fixed
door is applied to the right end of the peninsula cabinet. The wall
cabinets on this side will be 12" deep.
The back of the peninsula will have a flush finished panel.

The microwave was moved and the stack of drawers changed to three.
The microwave on this wall requires an end panel between it and the range hood.
At your request I have increased the depth of all the wall cabinets to 14" deep.
Most range hoods fit nicely with a 12" deep wall cabinet. You may have to block
the range hood out 2" to achieve a nice finished look. Note the optional fixed
door on the end of the peninsula.
I added a 12" wide cabinet to the back of the L-shape. Since this cabinet
adds a door to this side, I thought the back of the drawer base should also
have a door ( false door ). This side and the end of the peninsula
may or may not have a recessed toe space. It would function better with
a toe recess on all three sides, but I am showing it in the above image
with flush toe space.

New Revision 3/24/04
New plan shows the microwave removed and wall cabinets 12" deep.
The peninsula cabinets are altered a bit. To the left of the drawer stack
will be an overlay panel ( like a fixed door ). The toe kick will be on all sides
of the peninsula.
The back of the peninsula has a pull out can pantry to the right
and a false door on the finished back of the drawer base.
