This view shows the sink and lots of counter over the dishwasher.
I wasn't sure what the wall oven area looked like so I placed a generic
brick wall with an oven to the left of the sink.
There is ample room for
cleanup and preparation.
Large crown molding on top of
the wall cabinets will be stacked
on top of wide molding to reach the ceiling. This is mandated
by the 95 1/2" ceiling height and the use of 36" high cabinets.
The optional arched valance/shelf is a great way to tie the cabinets
together. The valance is set back from the face of the cabinets,
but the shelf depth matches the depth of the wall cabinets.
This view shows the kitchen without an island. Most likely the top drawer under
the cooktop will have to be a false drawer. Each 90 degree base cabinet
has an adjustable shelf. Note the refer. and dishwasher door.
Back of the island contains a book shelf cabinet. The island support is an
octagon that is cut and assembled in the field.
The table can be used as a work area as well as eating .
Four people can sit in comfort.
The right base cabinet could have three roll out shelves for table linen
or the cabinet could have four drawers.
I thought the roll out trays would give more adjustability so
I show a base cabinet there.
