The Ferrara Kitchen

The following images are not meant to be exact. The actual cabinet wood
color and door style will be different. The images are for general design
appearance only. Some cabinet detail may also be different from what is
generated by the computer.

View of kitchen sink
This view shows the sink cabinet with a splay front. The cabinet is pulled forward
3 inches. The sink base is a 39" wide cabinet with a 36 inch face.
The range hood will require a soffit area to hide the duct. This drawing shows
a partial soffit.
This hood has optional beaded paneling on the face.
To the left of the range is a base cabinet with roll out shelves.
The base corner cabinet could be a regular lazy susan, super sized susan,
adjustable shelf, or a three bin rotating recycle unit.
The diagonal wall cabinet has optional glass doors on both sides.
Please note: This view does not show the eating counter overhang on the peninsula.

Refer wall
This view shows the refrigerator moved to help give the room a larger feel.
The specifications for the refer. did not show that wooden panels
could be applied so I did not include them in this view.
The right side of the refer. has a 24" deep end panel. The wall cabinet above
is 24" deep. The optional microwave shown is a 24" wide x 12" deep "space saver"
style microwave ( example: G.E. Model JEM31SA with cabinet mounting kit ).
It is important to find a microwave that is about
12" deep so that the diagonal
corner door will open. If you can not find a suitable microwave that is 12" deep,
the microwave can be placed in another location.

Lynn requested space for a desk area. Since counter space is a premium I did
not drop the counter top for a traditional desk space. Instead, this optional desk can be
used for both desk and work space. A 24" stool must be used to sit at this location.
If a stool without a back was used, the stool could be pushed under the opening
to keep it out of the way.

A better view of the sink treatment showing the eating counter overhang.

View behind penn
Looking into the kitchen from the bay area. The back of the peninsula may be finished
with plaster board, 1/4" plain wood paneling matching the kitchen, wainscot matching the
cabinet door style, beaded wood paneling, tile, etc.

Top view
Top view. Note the gentle eyebrow type arch of the eating counter.
I did not place any cabinets into the bay area.

Refer-Micro
The microwave cabinet moved to the left of the L-shape gives more working
counter near the refer. The microwave cabinet has two drawers and has
an open area for cook books. The base cabinet under the microwave will
have two roll out shelves. Wall cabinets are 42" high with crown at the top.
Wall cabinets are mounted 1" down from the ceiling.
Refer. end panels will have to be trimmed to fit the ceiling height.

Range-sink
The base cabinet to the left of the range will have two roll out shelves.
The Penn. half wall shall be covered in 1/4" wood paneling.
The hood will be type WHRP ( matching door panel ).
The corner cabinet will be a rotating recycle unit.
