The Robert's Kitchen

The following images are not meant to be exact. The actual cabinet wood
color and door style will be different. The images are for general design
appearance only. Some cabinet detail may also be different from what is
generated by the computer.

Top View
This is a top view of the space. I provide this view so that you can
get a better idea of counter shape and work flow.
The window size and location is approximate.

Entire Kitchen View
This is a view of the entire kitchen. Note the two hanging heights adds
a dramatic flair to the design. The middle pantry depth is increased to add dimension
to that wall. The extra deep pantry allows the doors to open without hitting the lower crown.
I also think that a full wall of tall units would have created a "hall way" impression which
would create a less appealing traffic area between the island and the pantry cabinets.
This two level design makes this space feel exciting and inviting.
To increase the design affect, you may wish to add some lights to the top of the shorter
cabinets. These inexpensive concealed lights would bounce off the ceiling and create a
wonderful open happy feeling.

Sink and Range Wall View
This view shows the sink with dishwasher door panel on the left of the sink.
The window size and location is approx.

Refer view
This view shows the built-in refrigerator. The lower hanging cabinets are hung at 84".
The taller cabinets are 96" tall. All cabinets are topped with a medium size crown.
Note the appliance garage to the right of the oven cabinet. The base cabinet to the
right of the ovens is a narrow tray/cookie sheet storage cabinet.

The varying cabinet heights and depths adds a dramatic feeling to the room. This feature
not only adds a rich artistic touch, but will save money on the cabinet costs. I wanted to
also mention that shelves above 84" are hard to reach without a step stool.
With this design you do not pay a premium for a lot of shelves that are beyond your reach.

Hutch Wall View
This is a view of the island. To the right of the sink is a warming drawer. To the
left of the sink is a pull out trash cabinet. The cook(s) will enjoy great function
and a fabulous atmosphere to work in.

Tall Pantry Area
This view shows your tall cabinet storage. The center cabinet is 96" tall and 15" deep.
The cabinets on either side are 84" tall and 12" deep. This storage space will hold
a vast amount of items. Breaking up this wall takes away the feeling that the wall
is an over bearing structure.

Butler's Area
This is a view of the Butler's area. I will need to have the
sink and appliance specifications in order to make this
area work. Note that the shelf above the sink is only
6" deep. This reduced shelf depth allows more freedom
to utilize the sink and faucet. To the right of the sink
is a dishwasher door. On the far left is a under counter
refrigerator door. I did not use two hanging heights in this
area due to the limited width and the use of short wall
cabinets in the center. All wall cabinets are hung at
96" plus crown. I would suggest the use of a narrow
single bowl sink ( overall width of less than 20" ).
